Commence Winding of Down Time 4… 3… 2… 1…

Melissa met me at Buen Dia and from there we had a cathartic-screamin’-to-Weezer ride to Whole Foods in Pacific Heights. My name is Jonaaaaaaaaas! Bought one of the fantastic pizza crusts that their brilliant bakery produces among other essentials (chocolate Silk soy milkage).

Mellow acoustic groove of Ben Harper drifting into the kitchen from the speakers in my bedroom. Some awesome drum goin’ on. Currently chomping on a margherita pizza–laden with whole mozzarella, slices of fresh tomato and fragrant basil. Piping hot goodness from the oven at 850 30th Avenue. Kudos to Master Cutter Melissa, the best pizza cutter west of 14th Avenue. That girl has this down to a science.

Waiting in the wings: a Gene Kelly flick, Brigadoon. Compliments of my mother. Thanks, Mom.

YUM! If you can invent a way to transport that delic. goodness, please do send over my way!  margherita pizza–laden with whole mozz., slices of fresh tomato and frag. basil. Mouthwatering.
I was just thinking and talking about In-n-Out with one of my “So. Cal homies” this afternoon…double double, animal style, fries, coke, shake…and if I am feelin’ really in the mood..another double double please?  (only if I were training for the Iron Man or some triathalon!) 😉
Have you ever watched The Inn of the Sixth Happiness with Ingrid Bergman? If you haven’t, you should check it out.  Love Mr. Kelly..he truly has a way with moves and grooves.
Can’t wait to listen to some bosa nova Brasilia rhythms…just listened to a cd/mix a Brazilian brotha’ once made for me…sweet.
Kavalier…to much goodness…I’m hooked. Thanks for the recommend sista’…I wish we could have “book talks.” Like the ones that Oprah and Maya Angelou use to have…yea, with tons of succulent goodies lavished across a banqueting table..or simply mid-afternoon tea..like those darn Brits take time to do every afternoon! Can’t wait to be like “one of them this spring.  UK awaits! Stradford Upon Avon, The Globe Theatre, Thames River, Oxford/Cambridge Head Race, London Symphony, Big Ben, The Changing of the Guards–Beafeater, tea time, fuzzy hats, Jack the Ripper, Reformation, Royalty, Eton College, Parliament Building, Stone Hedge, Notting Hill, Northampton Univ., Manchester United Soccar, fish n’ chips; warm lagar–ewwh, but gotta try it, Indian food, the endless possibilities…cannot wait.

Sunmy: Hey, sorry about the dearth of In-N-Out-age there in the far east. Haven’t seen that Bergman film you mentioned, but will be sure to rent it sometime. I’ve heard good things about it. Cool that you’re hooked on K&C! I haven’t read something that exciting in a long time. I feel like I’m back in junior high reading whatever it was that I couldn’t put down back then. Only now, with way less free time and a ton more responsibilities. Would be cool if we could have ‘book talks’! Maybe we can dialogue a little in the near future! Didn’t you say in one of your posts that you were planning a trip to SoCal (this summer)? That would be so awesome if you came. As for London, sounds like you’ve got a plan! !Que envidia! I’m so jealous! Hyunsil: As a matter of fact, yes. Shaken.

Sunmy: PS, if you come to SoCal, we can ruminate over a cuppa joe (or tea) at Diedrich’s in Brea … the place where e-very-bo-dy knooooows your name … dun dun dun … and they’re always glad you came … dun dun dunDo come.
