It drives me nuts when I misplace something.

Just inherited a faded red hardback copy of Maurice Sendak’s Pierre: A Cautionary Tale in Five Chapters and a Prologue from 1962. It’s the epitomy of musty. In other words, love it.

The moral of Pierre: CARE!

lip gloss…so weili and i driving home from santa monica…she suddenly realizes that she can’t find her lip gloss in her bag.  she is automatically convinced that she’s lost it.  i tell her, “don’t worry, it probably just fell out and is in your car somewhere.”  she says, “no, i lost it.”  we argue about that some more…as she continues to look frantically in all the crevices of the car, AS SHE IS DRIVING.  she says, “i hate it when i lose things! but after i look here, i’m not going to worry about it anymore!”  she looks for it and then stops talking about it, but i know silently, she’s worrying.  she silently worries until we get to our destination.  she gets out of the car and suddenly exclaims, “found it!”  I KNEW SHE WAS THINKING ABOUT IT THE WHOLE TIME, EVEN THOUGH SHE SAID SHE WOULDN’T.  it was in between the seat and the driver’s side door.
